Another church concert. We went to the location way to early, as I was of the opinion that maybe we could enjoy the landscape and the location a bit. But it was a cold (+14°C in July) and rainy day.

Jenny and Jakob arrived 5:50 pm imediatly waving at us, when they discovered us sitting on a bench in front of the church. They asked how we were and told us to come in as it just started raining again. Jenny explained that they had to do the sound check in just 10 minutes (there was a tour around the church, starting at 6:00 pm). Jenny sang a very nice song (Swedish) during rehearsals, which I was hoping to hear in full during the concert, but she didn't sing it. Jakob tried the piano and checked after that the sound in the church. Jenny played something on the piano and Anja was amazed how good she was.

After the rehearsals the tour through the church started, which was pretty interesting. The church itself was very nice and colourful with a lot of paintings and drawings on the walls and beautiful old relicts inside. Being a church nerd I appreciated the tour a lot lol.

The concert itself seemed rather short, but was nice as always. They changed the setlist a bit, some songs were missing (for me), but it was of course also nice to listen to some songs I didn't know in their interpretation. So all in all it was really good. They did 2 (? I don't even remember lol) encores.

Apparently a lot of friends were around, the cantor was a friend of Jenny, while the priest went to University with Jakob's dad. So after the concert they spent quite a while with them. When they had said hello to all of them, Jenny suddenly came to us, squatted down in front of the first row looking at us. "What do you think? How was it?", she asked and I told her that I experienced it as rather short and that some songs were missing for me, but otherwise it was good. She asked me which one I missed and I said "Aldrig Ensam". She said: "Yes that's a good song. And it would have fit so good after the sermon of the priest." I told her that I thought the same and then she started to think and asked us if they should take the song back into the program and take "Fields of Gold" out again. I don't remember if I just thought or said to her, that they shouldn't take it out but include the other one.

After that she asked how the website was going and if we would need something for the website, pictures or whatever. We didn't expect that and were just looking at each other, but of course was that something we would like to have. So Jenny catched Jakob and we prepared our cameras. When we came out of the first row Jakob came to me and asked what camera I had and if it was good. He told me that he had the previous model and that he was satisfied. So we started talking a bit about photo cameras, which Jenny didn't like that much. She seemed afraid that Jakob would like to buy a new one, which I thought was very amusing.

Jenny asked us where we should take the pictures. Maybe not inside the church as always, but at the end we ended up at the altar, which was perfect in my opinion. They were both posing for us. Jakob explained that he is not used to that, but he did perfectly well. When this was done, Jenny asked: "What else?" and Anja answered: "News! Do you have any Ace of Base news?" and Jenny started to talk. When she had finnished the first very interesting report I though by myself I will never ever be able to remember all that, so I hurried to get my camcorder. So Jenny started again to give her  Ace of Base Update.

When this was done we talked about things like the official website, Lasse leaving USMG and more (which I don't remember). I asked if they would do more church concerts within the next weeks as there are Acers in Sweden that time, who would like to attend, but she said that they would be on vacation the next four weeks. But there are Ace of Base concerts coming. Jenny signed some things for other Acers, while we were talking about the Park99 concert. When she was done Jakob asked if he should take some pictures with Jenny and us, which we of course loved him to do, so I gave him my camera. He took some shots and looked at the result. Then he told me I should take a look too if they are ok, otherwise he could take more. While that he discovered that my photocamera has a bigger display than his and Jenny just wanted him to shut up and don't talk about cameras again. I told him the pictures were fine.

So we started to pack our backs again, Jenny went backstage to get her stuff. Jakob shaked our hands for a goodbye thanking us for the good work with this site. And I was really speachless and amazed by this gesture. She said bye and walked out of the church into the other building to get something to eat there, Jakob followed her. When we came out of the church we had just missed our bus, so we had to wait 1 hour for the next one to come. Half an hour later Jenny and Jakob passed us sitting in the backseats of their friend's car waving at us for a last time this day.

A BIG THANK YOU TO JENNY AND JAKOB FOR THIS PERFECT DAY AND THE FANTASTIC CONCERT!!!

Things that have been mentioned but not recorded:

* Jenny would like to include communities as myspace, facebook etc. into the official site. She even talked about going to the USA to get more information about those things.

* Apparently the communication with the admins of the official site and the band isn't that good. Jenny told us that it takes ages until they make an update refering to her comment she send to them saying hi to the Acers and to the update of the tourdates.

* Jenny and Jakob told us that they wish Lasse all the best at his new job and that it is possible that they might join Warner in future now that they have a connection.
