How Terese and Jenny met, taken from Terese's blog
After a hard time in High school and a one year break from songwriting I decided to give music a last chance in my life.
I applied at Betel education centre but didn't get the course I intended to visit. Instead I was asked if I would like to attend a special class for studio work, a course that had just been set up for this year. I had no certain expectations but said yes.
I got a new friend in Betel. And some day my friend asked if my band and I want to come and play at a rock café, which was set up in the church of his brother. I said yes and went there my band.
Jenny Berggren is living in Gothenburg and this night she was there in Church since she knows my friend and his brother quite very good. After the concert she walked up to me. She said she was touched.
The day after the performance we went home. When we had come half the way to Stockholm Jenny called my friend and said that she had lost her voice and was about to cancel a performance she had. She was wondering if I and my band would like to perform instead of her. So we went back to Gothenburg and performed. The evening after I was sitting in her living room and had dinner with her.
Some months later my friend and I were confirmand teachers during a camp in the outskirts of Gothenburg. Jenny has also worked there as a teacher for confirmands at this place. At the day of the confirmation the confirmands performed a musical that the other leaders and I had written. Jenny thought the last song "En Av Oss" (One of Us) was a good one.
Some months later Jenny told me about her solo project and asked if I would like to write music with her. We re-wrote "En Av Oss" together with some other song writers and even if no one knew what her solo project would be like or if it even would happen we met and wrote music together.
"En Av Oss" became "Here I Am".
